Why prepare documents before sending them to AI?

Raw PDF text is full of repeated noise. Cleaning it first can dramatically reduce the tokens your AI requests consume.

Structured Markdown with clear headings helps language models understand your document instead of guessing at messy extracted text.
Private by default
Files are processed temporarily and deleted automatically. We never keep your documents permanently by default.
Early preview status
LessTokens is under active development. PDF to Markdown conversion is live for digitally created PDFs, including header/footer cleanup and token estimates. Scanned PDFs (OCR) and other formats like Word and PowerPoint are coming next. We never pretend a document was converted when it was not.
