What this tool can do today

Digitally created PDFs (exported from Word, Google Docs, LaTeX, reports, papers) are converted for real: text is extracted, repeated headers, footers, and page numbers are removed, and you get clean Markdown with a token estimate. Scanned or image-only PDFs are not supported yet — OCR is not included in this preview, and the tool will tell you honestly instead of returning empty output. Complex tables are kept as plain text rather than guessed.

File retention

Uploaded originals and conversion results are temporary. They are not kept as a permanent document library.

  • Uploaded originals are used only to produce your Markdown result and are deleted as soon as processing ends, or within 60 minutes at the latest.
  • Conversion results and job records are available for up to 60 minutes, then expire and are automatically removed from the active database.
  • We do not keep a permanent document library. Limited provider-managed infrastructure snapshots may retain residual copies for up to 5 days before automatic expiry.
  • Uploaded originals are held in temporary local storage only while the job is processed. Recurring cleanup removes any expired temporary upload left by an interruption.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my file after upload?

It is kept in temporary storage only while your job is processed, deleted immediately after processing ends, and never stored permanently. See our privacy page for the full retention policy.

What output will I get?

Clean Markdown with a metadata block showing input pages, estimated original tokens, estimated output tokens, and the token reduction percentage.

Which formats are supported?

PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), HTML, CSV/TSV, and plain text are supported now. Each Excel sheet becomes a Markdown table (formula values and dates are handled). Images inside slides are not read (no OCR yet) — their alt text is kept when available.
